What Bottletale is
Bottletale is an audio app that tells stories about wines. It is for information and enjoyment. It does not sell alcohol, does not give medical or health advice, and does not tell you how much to drink.
Who can use it
You must be of legal drinking age where you live (21 in the UAE). By using the app you confirm this.
Your account
You can listen without an account. To save bottles you sign in with Apple, Google or an email code. Keep your access to that email or account secure. You can delete your account at any time from Profile.
Content
Stories, text, images and recordings in Bottletale are ours or licensed to us and are protected by copyright. They are for your personal use. Do not copy, record, redistribute or use them commercially without written permission. Wine names, labels and producer names belong to their owners and appear only to identify the bottle.
Accuracy
We research every story and record it with a sommelier, but wine is a living subject: vintages differ, producers change, and we may get something wrong. If you spot an error, tell us and we will fix it. We are not liable for decisions you make based on a story.
Scanning labels
Label recognition is automatic and can be wrong. Always check the bottle the app shows you is the one in your hand before you rely on the story.
Availability
This is a pilot. Features may change, stories may be added or withdrawn, and the service may be interrupted. We may end the pilot and delete data with notice in the app.
